Paul's interest in all things creative developed when he was a teenager stuck in the rather boring town of Crewe in NW England. Escapes into the world of the imagination were certainly favourable to the everyday life of an office worker. Music provided a means of expression and as Paul had fell in love with electronica in the early 90's he pursued this path. After trying his hand at acting and writing (and greatly enjoying both), Paul decided to pursue a creative career and set himself the goal of becoming a film director, so he could combine all his creative interests in one medium. It was with this in mind that he returned to college and university in his mid-20's. After training in Film Production at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, Paul became a sound recordist for film and TV, specialising in low budget but interesting projects. As well as recording sound, Paul was honing his mixing skills on projects like the low budget feature film, The Plague, and numersous short films. He also added scoring films to his list of skills with the soundtrack to The Plague and various shorts. Since giving up sound recording last year, Paul has been concentrating on making music, podcasting and and toying with the possibility of directing another film if he can get a producer and get around to writing it. Highly skilled in all things audio, Paul is currently looking for ways into radio. |
